Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 6, 2026

1. Introduction

Welcome to AutoPress ("we," "our," or "us"). AutoPress is an AI-powered WordPress content automation platform operated at autopress.dev. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the security of your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your data when you use our website and services.

This policy is a notice about current data practices, not a waiver of privacy rights. If you do not want the described processing, do not submit information to the Service and review the available account and consent controls.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

2.1 Account Data

When you create an account, we collect information you provide directly, including:

  • Full name
  • Email address
  • Authentication credentials handled by the configured authentication provider
  • Subscription and billing identifiers; payment-card entry is handled by Stripe Checkout when paid billing is configured
  • WordPress site URLs and connection credentials

2.2 Usage Data

The application records information needed to operate accounts, enforce plan limits, diagnose failures, and secure the service. Depending on deployment configuration and your consent choices, this may include:

  • Account, generation, publishing, quota, and error timestamps
  • Request metadata contained in application or infrastructure logs, such as IP address and user agent
  • Features used and operational outcomes needed for account history and service diagnostics
  • Optional page and event measurement collected by configured analytics tools only after analytics consent

2.3 Content Data

As part of our content automation service, we collect and process:

  • Content generation prompts, topics, and keywords you provide
  • AI-generated articles and blog posts created through our platform
  • Scheduling preferences and publishing history
  • WordPress site configuration and content settings

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • To provide, maintain, and improve our AI content automation services
  • To create and manage your user account
  • To process payments and manage subscriptions
  • To generate and publish content to your WordPress sites on your behalf
  • To communicate with you about your account, updates, and support requests
  • To personalize your experience and deliver relevant features
  • To monitor and analyze usage trends to improve our platform
  • To detect, prevent, and address technical issues and security threats
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms of service

4. Third-Party Services

AutoPress integrates with the following third-party services to deliver our platform. Each service has its own privacy policy governing its use of your data:

4.1 Supabase

We use Supabase services for database hosting and user authentication. Supabase processes account information, content data, and authentication records needed by those functions. For more information, see the Supabase Privacy Policy.

4.2 Google Gemini AI

We use Google Gemini models to perform requested text and image generation. Prompts, reference material, and generated output needed for that request are sent to Google's API. Do not place unnecessary personal data or secrets in generation inputs. For more information, see the Google Privacy Policy.

4.3 Stripe

When paid billing is configured, Stripe Checkout processes payments and Stripe manages subscription payment records. Payment-card details entered in Stripe Checkout are handled by Stripe rather than by the AutoPress application. AutoPress stores the identifiers and subscription status needed to associate the Stripe record with your account. For more information, see the Stripe Privacy Policy.

4.4 Google AdSense

If advertising is enabled with a publisher identifier and a certified consent platform, eligible editorial pages may load Google AdSense only after advertising consent. Google may then use cookies or similar technologies according to your choices and its policies. Authentication and application pages do not request the AdSense script. You can manage Google advertising choices in Google Ads Settings. For more information, see the Google Advertising Privacy Policy.

5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate and improve our platform. The specific cookies we use include:

  • sb-access-token — A short-lived, host-only HttpOnly cookie used by the server to verify your identity.
  • sb-refresh-token — A host-only HttpOnly cookie used by the server to renew your session. It is not available to browser JavaScript.
  • autopress-password-recovery — A host-only HttpOnly cookie retained for up to 15 minutes to validate a password-recovery flow.
  • Theme preference — Stored in your browser's localStorage to remember your light or dark mode preference.

When AdSense is configured and enabled, it may set its own cookies on eligible editorial pages after advertising consent. Authentication and application pages do not request advertising. For more details, please see our Cookie Policy.

6. Data Retention

Retention depends on the record, account state, operational need, backup lifecycle, and applicable legal or accounting requirements. Account, content, publishing, subscription, and security records are kept while needed to provide or protect the Service and are deleted or de-identified when no longer needed under the applicable operational schedule.

A deletion request is handled within the timeframe required by applicable law after verification. Some records may remain for a limited period in backups or where retention is required for fraud prevention, security, accounting, dispute handling, or legal compliance. This policy does not claim a single fixed retention period for every deployment.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right to Access — You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to Correction — You can request that we correct any inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
  • Right to Deletion — You can request that we delete your personal data, subject to legal retention requirements.
  • Right to Data Portability — You can request a copy of your data in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format.
  • Right to Object — You can object to the processing of your personal data for certain purposes, including direct marketing.
  • Right to Restrict Processing — You can request that we limit the processing of your personal data under certain circumstances.

This deployment has no verified public privacy-request channel. The contact availability page reports that missing configuration but cannot accept a request until the operator configures and tests a mailbox.

8. Data Security

We use technical and organizational safeguards reflected in the current application and deployment configuration, including:

  • HTTPS transport on the public production service when correctly deployed
  • Host-only HttpOnly session cookies and server-side session validation
  • Authenticated encryption for newly stored or updated application credentials and API keys
  • Access controls and request validation in application routes

No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security. Detected incidents are investigated and handled according to the deployment's response process and applicable notification duties.

9. Children's Privacy

AutoPress is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child under 16, we will take steps to delete that information. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, use our contact availability page.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, by sending you an email notification. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
